Wordpress permalinks showing 404 not found
Sometimes the wordpress posts permalinks show 404 not found page even if the post exists in the wordpress admin. In this case you can traverse the posts only by making the wordpress permalinks to simple plain url like the following screenshot.
just goto C:\wamp\bin\apache\apache2.4.9\conf\ and open httpd.conf in sublime text or any text editor, look for the line mentioned in second point and remove the # before it

In this situation when the permalinks only works for p=id there are a few issues solving which may fix the problem- goto wp-admin and in settings and save changes (yes simple)
- if the first point does not solve the problem then you might be having #LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so not enabled
