How To Embed PDF And Other Documents In Blogger Blog Posts

Blogger wouldn't let you directly embed a PDF, DOC, XLS or PPT file. In order to embed or show a PDF document in our blog post, we first have to host it somewhere. Here we will use Google Drive, which is undoubtedly the best place to host files on web.

In this post I will show you the easiest way to embed PDF documents in your Blogger posts with the help of Google Drive.

1. At first, Go to the drive.google.com and login with your username and password.

2. Now upload your PDF, DOC, EXCEL or PPT file to google drive. To upload the file, click on New and select the file upload option as show in the screenshot below.

A window will pop up to browse files. Select your file to start the file upload.

3. Now set the permissions: The permissions here refer to the file access which is by-default private on Google Drive i.e. only the uploader has the access to a file. You'll be needing to change that for sure. Right click on the uploaded file and choose Share from the popup menu.

4. In the dialog so opened, move to the Advanced part of the Sharing settings.

5. A dialogue box will appear with the file URL and a list of users who have access to the file. Click on Change in the Who has access panel.

6. Select �Anyone with the link� from the dialogue box and click Save.

7. Finally, right click on it and grab the link of your PDF from the Share settings dialog.

8. Now, observe the following code:

Replace the highlighted area in the above code to your copied link. The final code will be the embed code for our PDF.

9. Now, in your Blogger dashboard, create a new post, set it to the HTML mode, and paste the final code into it.
